At any given moment, 10.7% of US workforce is out of work on FMLA. Since it was enacted in 1993 FMLA has been used over 100 million times. Complicating it further are the various NJ leave laws, i.e. NJ Family Leave Act, the NJ Safe Act, the NJ Earned Sick Leave Law and the NJ Family Leave Insurance -- a tangled web of leave issue nightmares. Our speaker, Bethann is the HR Operations & Payroll Manager for Nipro PharmaPackaging Americas, at their U.S. HQ in Millville, NJ.  In this role, Bethann oversees all aspects of payroll administration, HRIS administration, human resources compliance, Performance Management, and Leave of Absence administration.  She also holds the following certifications:  SPHR, SHRM-SCLP, and CLMS (Certified Leave Management Specialist).  While at Nipro, she has led several long-term initiatives: ongoing development of web-based training programs for line managers and HR administrators, standardizing leave of absence administration and on-boarding processes.  Additionally, she has successfully streamlined the payroll process which has increased accuracy, decreased the need for off-cycle checks by more than 90%, and cut the processing time in half.  Outside of work, Bethann is active in her local SHRM chapter as Vice President and Co-Chair of Membership.   She also enjoys cooking and baking, reading mystery/suspense novels, and spending quality time with friends and family.  Bethann lives in South Jersey with her husband, their 2 children and their fur-babies.
