Our program will survey the rapidly changing employment law landscape, with practical takeaways for legal and human resources personnel in New Jersey and New York. The program will provide updates on a variety of important areas including increased Department of Labor enforcement activity, and trends in Wage and Hour compliance, with a discussion of Independent Contractors and Misclassification, the Wage Theft Act, Minimum Wage, and the Good Faith Defense. The program will also cover recent developments in Salary History Bans, Medical Cannabis Use Protections, Paid Family Leave Act Amendments, Anti-Discrimination measures regarding Hairstyle Type, and Confidentiality Bans & Arbitration Clause Limitations.
The program will conclude with an update on Protection of Business Information, Non-Competition and Non-Solicitation Agreements. The presentation will be interactive, with ongoing opportunities for questions and answers throughout the program.
