Our year starts with our annual Legal Update presentation. Our presenter will be our very own Board member, Sean Kelly, a senior partner in the Employment Law Practice Group of Saiber, LLC. Sean has repeatedly been included in New Jersey Monthly Magazine’s annual list of “SuperLawyers”.
Sean will examine more than a dozen recent developments in state and federal law, many of which are already beginning to impact the work of Human Resources professionals. Some of these issues are likely to land on your desk in the coming year, so be prepared! Bring you legal HR questions with you!
Topics will include:
- the move toward Equal Pay laws
- political discrimination
- unpaid interns
- wage-&-hour claims and audits
- the rebound in unionization
- “implicit bias” claims in employment discrimination cases

WHERE: Our meeting will be held at Dorian’s Restaurant, 555 Washington Boulevard, Jersey City, NJ. This location is reachable via the Hudson Bergen Light Rail Newport stop, the PATH Newport stop; or there are parking lots in the area. I generally park at the mall parking lot on Mall Drive West, and the restaurant validates your ticket!
