    Our March presentation will be a summary of new developments in employment law that arose during 2013.  In particular, we will look at recent decisions regarding discrimination (e.g., race, gender, age, disability, and other statutorily protected categories,) harassment (both quid pro quo and hostile work environment,) whistleblower claims, retaliation, and arbitration of employment disputes.  We will emphasize New Jersey state law, and focus on developments that are most likely to affect the function of the general HR practitioner.  Beyond discussing court decisions, we may also highlight certain legislative enactments of the past year that are likely to affect employment law in New Jersey going forward.

    For over 30 years, Sean Kelly has focused his practice on counseling employers and defending employment cases, and has successfully tried many employment cases to verdict.  He is certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney, has been repeatedly included in New Jersey Monthly Magazine's list of New Jersey "Super Lawyers," holds the highest rating awarded by the Martindale-Hubbell Lawyers Directory, has been named a Master of two separate American Inns of Court, and is included on the New Jersey Superior Court roster of court-approved mediators.
