Hello and thank you for visiting our SHRM Gateway page: we are pleased with all the great programming in 2011 and are looking forward to a phenomenal 2012! There are initiatives where we can certainly use your talents; for instance, Workforce Readiness, College Relations and more. We are looking for talent because we know that together we can be even better.  New partnerships and collaborations with local colleges and corporations are in our near future.  It is our duty to meet you where you are and let you know about the benefits that we offer: there is a lot we have to offer.

You are afforded the opportunity to take a professional certification class through an arrangement with Fairleigh Dickinson University and our member firms. We also have a number of important volunteer opportunities at the chapter and state level to support your growth in new and expanding ways.  Currently there are scholarships for members that regularly attend meetings and exhibit outstanding service in addition to receiving recertification credits for seminars and volunteer work.   Each month there is a new, professionally delivered, insightful program that answers your questions, provides insight, allows you to learn a skill or gain information on a key topic and network with change agents, decision makers and leaders in various industries.   Many of our programs provide credit towards your SPHR or PHR continuing certification yet it's the dynamic, relevant information that can help you advance your career.

As we forge ahead, we continue to present quality programming that seeks to broaden your business and/or human resources knowledge, allow you to network with other key players in your field and offer you solutions to workplace issues that are timely and relevant. The SHRM Gateway Chapter is committed to developing you- the leaders of today (human resources and otherwise). We have the tools and resources to assist you in your development; one of our best resources are the people in our organization that are knowledgeable, accessible, personable and helpful. As an incentive, we have partnerships that offer discounts at various institutions and businesses. Our meetings are a way to break away for your typical routine once a month and share ideas, gain insight and if you volunteer for a committee you can help someone else. Our meetings are generally the last Wednesday of the month and they are usually in the Jersey City area. Please check the website for details.
