Recruiting Hard- Recruiting Fast! Making Headway? Not Really

You are not alone. It used to be that top talent was tough to recruit. Now just about any talent is tough to recruit. Unemployment and jobless numbers are rapidly shrinking along with visa allotments. At the same time, a growing economy is kick-starting more new companies; and while startups already abound, this leaves many of the practices typically used obsolete. Where do you go from here? In this program, We will share the successful findings and methodologies that have been employed to meet headcount by companies ranging from start-up’s hiring 10 a year to large enterprises’ hiring 300 week. Using the Recruiting Continuum as a cornerstone we will discuss:

    • How to measure where you are and discover your TA strengths and weaknesses
    • Flipping from reactive to proactive even if you have NO TIME
    • Hidden recruiting acts with BIG impact
    • Once you’re on track, steps to assure you stay there

    Annual Holday Toy Drive

In 1992, Captain Mark Lee, Sr. of the JC Fire Department created the Jersey City Fire Department Christmas Fund Drive, collecting toys and clothing for local children in need. In 2014, Captain Lee passed away from 9/11 related illnesses.  In his honor, his family, along with his brother and sister firefighters are continuing his tradition of helping less fortunate children experience the joy of the holidays.

Remember, one small gift can make a world of difference to a child.  In the spirit of the holiday season, we request that you bring an unwrapped toy or clothes (for ages 1 to 17) valued at $50 or above, in lieu of a $50 fee for the party.  All donations will be donated to The JCFD Capt. Mark Lee, Sr. Toy Drive.

If you can’t make the meeting but would like to send a donation please make the check out as follows:

Make check payable to: JCFD Capt. Mark Lee, Sr. Toy Drive

And mail to: Jill Rowland, A+ Personnel, 1017 Broadway, Bayonne, NJ 07002

We will present the checks to the firemen the day of our Holiday Party.

Our meeting will be held at Dorian’s Restaurant, 555 Washington Boulevard, Jersey City, NJ. This location is reachable via the Hudson Bergen Light Rail Newport stop, the PATH Newport stop; or there are parking lots in the area.  I generally park at the mall parking lot on Mall Drive West, cost is about $4.00, but the restaurant also validates for parking.
